The Edinburgh Earth, Ecology and Environment Engagement Doctoral Training Partnership (E5 DTP) has a shared vision for research, training, management and engagement — with and between students, partners and wider society — in the dynamic landscape of postgraduate employment, building on the successful experience of the E3 and E4 DTPs. Recruitment for our E5 DTP 2025 cohort has now opened. Projects We have 90+ supervisor-led projects advertised each year and also offer a student-led project route.Please note that you can only apply to one project overall, so either a supervisor-led or a student-led project. Only one application per candidate will be accepted. Entry and Eligibiility Criteria All applicants are eligible to apply for a fully-funded UKRI studentship, regardless of their citizenship or fees status, as long as they comply with the Higher Education Institution's entry requirements for a PhD (see second section on this page for the University of Edinburgh's PhD entry requirements).
